I conducted a PyroMarketing workshop recently at the Michigan Summer Summit, a gathering of Christian radio stations in Grand Rapids. Stations came primarily from Michigan, but also from Illinois and Indiana. I drew the challenging assignment of following Joe Stowell who is an amazing public speaker that opened the event with a talk on the power of perspective.
The workshop was in three parts. We began with PyroMarketing theory, showing how any effective marketing plan must consider the ever-changing environment AND unchanging human psychology. By understanding where those factors intersect, it is possible to build plans that really work.
Next, I introduced the group to a variety of inexpensive or free digital tools they can employ in their marketing plans. Access a pdf of that presentation here. Finally, we took what we learned and applied it to five different challenges the group identified. It was a good day, spent with good people.
Thanks to Chris Lemke of WCSG for organizing the event and brining me in. Spread the fire. Gs
