There's no substitute for knowing your customer. Thanks to survey tools on the internet, now there's no excuse for trying to make marketing plans without knowing how your consumers really feel.
There are a variety of websites that allow you to create online surveys and monitor the results from a password protected screen.
I just used www.freeonlinesurvey.com to create a 14-question pilot survey (not including contact info fields) on faith-based marketing designed to discover what Christians want, or don't want, in the marketing communications they receive. You can see the survey here. If you are a regular church goer I invite you to also answer its questions. I will use responses to craft another survey that will go to a much larger list.
