The third step in PyroMarketing is "Fanning the Flames" and it means equipping people to tell others by giving them incentives or tools that make it easy and fun. I'm currently doing this with my own book by suggesting people give free PyroMarketing audio downloads as gifts this Christmas. It involves three simple steps.
1. Allow them to be heroes by providing something of value they can give their friends. In this case, a $22 book.
2. Tell them what to do. I know, it's simple, but many people forget this step. Simply suggest the idea to people and many will take you up on it.
3. Make it easy for them. I did this by writing a paragraph of copy they can paste into the email they send their friends. Fewer people would participate if they had to write the words or find the links themselves.
